Purple Seamoss is abundant in vitamins and minerals. Its differs from the Golden Seamosss we more commonly find in that it contains anthocyanins which give it is dark purple color. We liken it to the comparison of a green grape and a purple grape, they are both healthy but the purple packs a little more punch. Anthocyanin is a class of antioxidant that gives not only Seamoss but other fruits and vegetables a dark bluish, purple and red color. Purple Seamoss is an excellent source of minerals, vitamins and amino acids.
